WENFRE PARISH PLAN  April 2009

The completed Questionnaires have been returned and there has been a 47% response which gives us a very reasonable mandate for our Action Plan.

The information collected is in two forms: Replies to the questions that are in the form: yes, no, no opinion. And secondly as written comments. Many replies were lavish with comments, even where there was no comment box!  We decided to record all of these comments.

In our compilation of this data (a quite large Exel sheet) we have counted the results for each question. We have grouped comments that are very  similar , eg. "poor road surface" and "potholes"  and counted them. From this data we have developed smaller information packs for each focus group. It is now  time for the focus groups to analyse these results and to use the supporting comments to create a short task list for their group.

When all the groups (Amenities, Local Business, Housing & Planning, Roads & Transport, Countryside & Environment, Youth ) have completed their Action Plans we will combine their contributions and publish them as the Parish Plan.

If you would like to take part in forming an Action Plan, or most importantly if you would like to help get an Action implemented we would like to hear from you.

WENFRE PARISH PLAN    January 2009

Questionnaires were delivered by hand last month to around 850 households within Felton, Winford and Regil. Many people in the community have taken the time to complete the survey to give their opinions on a range of local issues and some have raised their own ideas about things that could help improve life in our community. (Any outstanding questionnaires can be left in the collection box in Felton and Winford Post Offices)

Members of the Parish Plan Group started creating an Excel spreadsheet in January and will soon start work on analysing the replies. The results will be used to prepare an Action Plan which will identify and prioritise the issues raised by the community. The Action Plan will be presented to the community, to the Parish Council and to North Somerset Council in due course.

Volunteers are always welcome. To get involved or to find out more information about the plan, please call Mike Davis 472119, Mike Teggin 472773 or Judy Kiernan 472572

WENFRE PARISH PLAN QUESTIONNAIRE IS COMING SOON!    December 2008

Questionnaires have now been delivered  to every household in Felton, Regil and Winford and everyone in the community will have a chance to say how they would like their village to develop in the future.

Completion of the questionnaires is voluntary and the replies will be anonymous. We hope as many local people as possible will spare a short time to give their opinions on a variety of issues which affect our community.

The information in the completed questionnaires will be analysed and the results will be used to prepare an Action Plan to identify and prioritise the issues raised by the community.

By making sure that the Parish Council and North Somerset Council know what our community thinks is important, we have a better chance of influencing what happens on our doorstep.

MAKE SURE YOU TAKE THIS CHANCE TO HAVE YOUR SAY ON ANYTHING THAT RELATES TO VILLAGE LIFE.
