The Churches of Felton, Regil and Winford

From the Rector Services Local News Friends Parish Council Diary 2010

Why not become a friend of :

St Mary & St Peter’s Church, Winford
and help this lovely Somerset Church

Many readers of this leaflet will know that there has been a church on the site of our parish Church for centuries and that our present Church is a building of singular beauty which, over the generations, many have found an aid and stimulus to prayer and worship. The Church is fortunate in having a very fine fifteenth century Somerset Tower and a beautiful Georgian interior.
The building holds many good memories. Recognising the importance of the past, the Church Council are looking to maintain and develop the work of the Church in the future.

The Task

The task is three-fold:
• To maintain the fabric of the Church in its present excellent condition
• To keep the Churchyard in a dignified state that helps many to cherish the memories of those buried within it.
• To develop the whole work and witness of the Church that is focused, often, in the Church building while extending well beyond it.
The Aims
The main aim of the Friends is thus to raise money for the ongoing work of this beautiful Church.

You may wish to use Winford Church for family occasions, you may have connections already and you may wish to see the Church preserved for future generations.

Will you help by becoming a Friend?
